NOTE:  To register for any of the courses provided one must send a cheque in the amount of $30.00 payable to the Saskatchewan Trappers Association to the contact shown for each course BEFORE the starting date, to allow for mailing time.  This is necessary to keep the instructor-student ratios in line to provide a quality course.

This is a deluxe 20 hour first time humane trapping course which includes the regular classroom theory plus a heavy emphasis on hands on sets, actual catches and fur handling. The course is 12 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday. Catered lunch and supper provided on Saturday and catered lunch provided on Sunday.

Students will set their own water and land sets for a variety of animals and check those sets the following day. Actual catches, plus supplied animals will be available for students to learn hands on fur handling. The most up to date, humane and effective sets for all fur bearing animals will be demonstrated and explained as well. Humane trapping, marketing your skins, furbearer biology, landowner relations, tips and tricks, plus so much more covered. If available, a Conservation Officer will also be part of the instruction.

Also included in this course is the Trappers Education Manual, graduation crest, one year Saskatchewan Trappers Association membership, drinks and coffee, and supplied will be all traps and equipment. Instructor will be Ryan Demchynski.

Cost for this course is $150 per student and includes everything listed above. All you need to supply is a pen and willingness to learn. Limited spots are available and you must preregister by calling Ryan at 306 209 2839. Minimum age is 12 to attend
